There’s never much actual writing to discuss at the monthly meeting of the Pendon writer’s circle, and very little mutual support. Arnold the chairperson suggests a collaboration might get them out of their creative rut but the group isn’t keen. As the meeting disbands, there’s a clap of thunder and suddenly the creative juices start to flow. This madcap play is an affectionate look at the perils of authorship and is one of Ayckbourn’s funniest comedies.
